What Is Pilates With Gabby?
Gabby brings over two decades of teaching experience, a BSc (Hons) in Sports Science and specialist Pilates qualifications to every session. Her approach is precise, evidence-informed and deeply personalised — combining classical Pilates principles with a thorough understanding of anatomy, posture and movement rehabilitation.
Sessions are adapted to your individual needs, goals and body. Whether you're managing back pain, recovering from injury, navigating perimenopause, building strength after a long break, or simply wanting to move better — Gabby creates a programme that's right for you.
This is not generic mat work. This is Pilates with purpose.
What Does Pilates Help With?
Pilates works by targeting the deep postural and stabilising muscles that most conventional exercise misses — the muscles that support your spine, protect your joints and determine how you carry yourself through daily life.
Regular Pilates practice can help with:
-
Back pain and spinal health — one of the most evidence-supported movement approaches for managing and preventing back pain
-
Core strength and stability — deep, functional strength rather than superficial "six pack" training
-
Posture and alignment — undoing the effects of desk work, driving and sedentary habits
-
Joint stability and injury prevention — protecting knees, hips and shoulders through balanced muscle activation
-
Recovery from injury or surgery — gentle, progressive and completely adaptable
-
Perimenopause and menopause — building strength, supporting bone density and improving body confidence during hormonal transition
-
Stress and nervous system regulation — the focused, breath-led nature of Pilates is deeply calming for an overactive nervous system
Who Is Pilates With Gabby For?
-
Complete beginners — every exercise is explained clearly, with modifications always available
-
Those with back pain, hip or knee issues — Gabby has extensive experience working with clients managing pain and postural imbalances
-
People returning to exercise after illness, injury or a long break
-
Women in perimenopause or menopause looking to build strength, improve bone density and feel more confident in their bodies
-
Active people and athletes wanting to improve performance, prevent injury and move more efficiently
-
Anyone who sits at a desk all day and feels the physical cost of it
What to Expect From a Pilates Session

Gabby's teaching style is warm, focused and precise. You will always know what you're doing, why you're doing it and how it's benefiting your body. No jargon. No intimidation. Just clear, effective movement.
